So, on today's agenda: Start chapter 14. Well, its a start, right??
Just looking through my brainstorming notes and I have between 7 and 8 chapters left to write, if all goes to plan. I think the final number is going to be 22, but i'm not entirely sure. There might be too much information in one chapter that might spill over into another but we'll just have to see how it goes, really. I may end up with upwards of 24, which would be find with me. Each chapter is between 7 and 12 pages long, typed in a microsoft word format; I'm up to 104 pages just now. I'm guessing by the end, my manuscript (I think that's what its called before its published) will be 200 pages long if not more. I'm going to have to put a lot of credit on my uni account to be able to print it out!! (that was a joke, by the way).
2/3 of the way through...wow. I have come so far not only in the past year but in the past 6 months. Writing this has become such a major part of my life. I think about it all the time, trying to come up with new ideas, ways of bettering the story line and the characters, better dialogues, etc. I'm sure every writer does this. You can't help but to be engrossed in your work. At first I thought it was nerdy and silly to be writing, but I look at all the support and interest I have from my friends and family and it has really driven me to believe not only in myself, but in my book as well.
Enough sappiness, I need to get my writing on. I'll keep you all posted with my progress. I hope to get halfway through today, and also put up an excerpt from chapter 7 (which I may do first). Also, since the page is getting lengthy, I'm going to add a sub-tab to the Excerpts page with chapters 7-14, then 14 to whatever is the end. Sound good? Great!
