Back by popular demand, Matt will be making a major reappearance in chapter 5 and we find out some shocking news about Gerry *gasp*! The suspense is killing me! I will be beginning chapter 5 and working on it for about and hour or so, then going out to lunch with my lovely Aunt Dina, then coming back to do some more work. Sonja bunny, I will be sending you what I get done now and when I finish later...get excited!

Chapter 4 is all about Ahava and Gunnar. Its a very intense chapter but it was surprisingly easy to write. It took me about 4 hours to finish it, and like 2 to actually make myself sit still long enough to do it. I sent it on to fellow writer/friend Sonja so we'll see what she has to say! If I have any other fans out there who are interested in my work feel free to contact me with any questions or if you'd like to read what I've written I'd love to send it one! Chapter 5 will be in the works soon!
I'm starting bartending classes tonight at 6 and those will be continuing for the next week so that leaves all day for me to write! Can't wait! -EJG Right so now that I've neglected my work for a week or so I'm getting back to it. I would like to finish chapter 4 and begin chapter 5 before my first bar tending class tonight at 6. Well, enough chat, time to work!!
-EJG So today has been my first full day back in the states. I got home late last night and went to the Cheesecake factory with my family. As much as I love Scotland, I'm sorry but America has better food! Anyway, I got my nails and toes done today as a little reward for hauling 200+ pounds of luggage around all over God's green Scotland yesterday. I also drove for the first time today since February-amazing!
As far as writing goes, I will continue chapter 4 when I've unpacked my 200+pounds of luggage! I sent the first 3 chapters to my Aunt Cathy because she loves reading and hopefully she likes what I've done! Don't worry, Sonja, you'll have more to read when I'm adjusted to being back around Americans!! =] <3 -EJG So, its 1.30 the day before I leave Scotland for home and I'm exhausted. Did a lot of running around and final packing and what not. Probably going to watch a movie and maybe nap, then later try to do some work on chapter 4. Nothing exciting going on here, its raining but then again I am in Scotland so this is "perfect Scottish weather." Maybe I'll watch Braveheart haha! Will write again soon!
-EJG The past few days have been a whirlwind; I spent the past weekend in the gorgeous English town of Stratford-Upon-Avon. I went to the home of one of the greatest writers in history-William Shakespeare. As a writer, I like to pay homage to my predecessors because without their wisdom and inspiration we wouldn't be the writers we are. I know in high school and grade school its just like "oh yeah Shakespeare, whatever" but now that I'm actually writing as well its really is amazing to read works by him and his contemporaries. I mean, the man invented words, sayings that we use every day. Before I went to the house museum I had no idea that "dead as a doornail" was one of his sayings or that every hour of every day there is one of his plays being preformed somewhere in the world. It truly is incredible.
Anyway, as far as this pale in comparison writer, like I said the past few days have been crazy, tomorrow is my last day in Scotland until my return to the states on Wednesday. To all my adoring fans (aka Sonja =] ) I will be writing as much as possible over the next few days, and my laptop will be fully charged and ready for the 6 hour plane ride. Maybe I can finish chapter 4 and 5? Would be amazing! Well, its off to Lilly White's Tea Party, as my Aunty Sue always says! Will keep updating when there are updates! -EJG Okay so, I got about a page and a half into chapter 4 and I'm very excited to see where it goes. I have a tentative idea but I might do a little switcheroo at the end, who knows! I'm beginning to really enjoy Gunnar's character as it is based on my well, boy thing. He has a great personality so I wanted to bring a piece of him into my writing. So, I need to sleep so I can finish packing my life into suitcases but I will write back soon!
-EJG Since I've neglected both blog and writing I've decided to sit down tonight and see what I can do. Since I will be flying back to the states in 5 days (which I know a lot of people are excited about, family and friends) I need to pack my whole room. Also, the University is making me switch rooms because of construction. Lame, I know. Anyway, I have been keeping up with fellow writer, Sonja Scutaro's work (her site ishttp://sonjascutaro.weebly.com/index.html), which is coming along quite marvelously. I am very lucky to have her not only as a friend, but as a fellow writer and someone to bounce ideas off of.
So, when I was on the train between Paris and Rouen, I decided to start chapter 4 and I have an idea of where its going to go so we'll see how the going actually goes!!! That was a very Dr. Seuss sentence, love it! W |
