Well, here I am again, writing to you all, which apparently is 43 of you today. I think that is my highest number to date, so thank you for all the silent support. As far as progress goes, I am 3/4 of the way through chapter 13 and it is a pretty epic, exciting chapter. As much as you wont want to, it will make you hate Gerry, sorry girls, I know he's a studly Scotsman but he's still an enemy!! Gunnar makes his reappearance and we get to know Jett a bit better (if these are all foreign names to you, check out my Characters pages and past blogs, hopefully that will help!)
So the big issue- the title. I have been struggling with this since day one. Though it may not look like it, considering the title has been "Wings" since I started last year, that is already the title of a very successful young adult book. There in lies my dilemma. Thusly, I have been struggling and fighting with the title, and it was actually in a previous blog that I described my novel as a fledgling that will hopefully take flight. Viola, I have my title. Sometimes I amaze even myself. This is a big change, and I am hoping it will help my chances as far as publishing goes. It is fairly original and like I mentioned in my previous blog, it resonates in many ways. Before you get wings, you need to learn to fly.
I am experiencing some distinctly horrendous sleeping patterns which I will begin to put to good use starting...now.
Thank you all again, as always, for reading my pieces. Especially I would like to thank my mother and Sonja for being my driving force and supporting my title change. I wouldn't be here, where I am today, if it weren't for the two of you, so thank you.
PS I did some minor editing to the site, and started the excerpt section under the "Fledgling" tab. Feedback would be much obliged!
