I also just came up with 2 more- "Flying Free" "Freedom of Flight"
UGH!!! Why can't this just be simple and easy?!
Feedback please

Okay, so I think the two working titles at the moment are "Born Into Flight" or "Born to Fly".

Okay Wings fans (however many of you are out there), new or old, past or present! I have added a new element under the BLOG tab. This is something I stole from Sonja's page, its a forum. This basically means you can interact with me, and each other, in a more intimate and hopefully quicker way than the blog. I'll still have the blog to keep you all posted on my progress, but the forum gives everyone a chance to ask questions and discuss with each other.
An issue has come to my attention and needs to be sorted. I'm brainstorming, but coming up short. My mother has pointed out to me that there is already a series with the first book entitled "Wings" which came out not too long ago. So, if anyone has any ideas on a name change it would be much appreciated! -EJG I can't believe how much writing I've been getting done lately. Its like I'm finally out of my funk and getting back into the groove of serious writing.
Chapter 11 is done and sent off to Sonja, as per. I don't want to say too much because I feel it will give the chapter away, which I don't want to do before Sonja reads it. What I will say is that Ahava and Gunnar are back, but I won't tell you in what respect until after my esteamed colleague has had a chance to look it over. Another thing i will say is that I am incredibly proud of this chapter and think its my best work yet. I hope Sonja feels the same! Just as an aside, I was thinking of adding a little section under "Plot Overview" view with my favorite excerpts from each chapter just to give my followers a taste of my writing. Thoughts? -EJG Right, so staying home sick from work doesn't always have to be negative! Though I do feel like poop (for lack of better words) I have managed to complete chapter 10! It wasn't quite exactly what I had originally planned out, but I think its a nice deviation from the norms of Wings.
In this chapter, you get more about Gerry, a new character called Fraser, and Gerry's grandparents get names, descriptions, and stories! I have sent it off to my lovely Sonja for editing notes, so hopefully she likes the way it's turned out as well! Now that I feel accomplished, I'm off to have some dinner and wait for my amazing boyfriend to get here from Glasgow! -EJG Not sure why my post name is "welcome to the jungle" it sounded epic. I finished chapter 9 finally and sent it to my editor/best friend/moral supporter Sonja, who gave me some feedback which was great! I also got a chance to read not only her chapter 9 but her chapter 10 as well, both chock full of fantastic writing. Much like my writing, there were minor editorial notes, but that's what happens when you're in the early stages of writing like we are. I can't believe how far we have both come since we started this a year ago. I don't think either of us expected how serious we would get about it and it would be my- and I'm sure Sonja's as well- ultimate dream if we could both get published after we finish writing. If anyone has any suggestions as how to do this let us know! We appreciate any feed back!
I think I'm going to eat my lovely dinner of fish sticks and onion rings then crack into chapter 10 again. the first couple paragraphs are really weak so I'll certainly need to beef them up some more. Let's do it! ps. I think I got my blog title because I feel like I'm living in a jungle with all this bloody rain!!! -EJG So today has been a lot of editing and reading things over, making small tweaks here and there. I thought it would be a wise decision to make a time line of chapters. Basically so I can keep track of how much time is in between each, when the chapters take place in relation to each other, and make sure I stay on track with the 6-8 month window I have given myself. I feel like the summer months will go by really quick, whereas the spring months have really dragged on. All the action, the climax really, will take place at the end of the summer into the fall seeing as Sonja's birthday, and her change, will take place at the end of August. I'm doing some brainstorming for chapter 10 and it is going to be all about Gerry. It will span a couple weeks (I think) and it will really get into what he has to do for his job and what to do about Sonja. It will take him the full 2 weeks to finally come to terms with the decision he has to make. After I finish this blog for today I'm going to get something started on it, not sure how much I'll accomplish. It took me nearly 5 hours to write the last of chapter 9 yesterday. It is currently 10 of 7 so I'm thinking I'll write for a few hours and then hit the hay.
On another note, I finally took the time to sit down and really read Sonja's (the real Sonja) 9th chapter. There were some minor editing issues, but other than that it was a really strong chapter. She just gets more and more talented with every word I read and I feel infinitely lucky to have her as my co-writer and best friend. Keep it going and I look forward to chapter 10! Wow that was a long blog! I'm definitely in writing mode... -EJG Well, it was a struggle to get started today, but I managed to finish chapter 9 finally. I had to do it, or Sonja would have had my head! It ended up being a better chapter than I had originally expected which is probably why I struggled. It's one of those chapters that starts off pretty slow but ends with an absolute bang. I sent it off to Sonja to see what she thinks, and I look forward to her response to it. Tomorrow I think I'll sit down and start brainstorming chapter 10, and start writing it. This will give a lot of insight into Gerry and where he's come from and what his life has been like. Let's keep the juices flowing!!
I really, REALLY need to write. It's getting ridiculous now. This week I'm not working from Monday to Thursday, the boyfriend is away in Germany, and I'm alone here on Stirling Uni campus. Therefore, I think this will be the perfect 4 day chunk I've been looking for. We'll see how much I actually get done, but I would love to get something done! I'll make sure to keep you all posted as I go along.
